I am genuinely glad you are here. As of 8.14.2023 this website and the collection offerings within are brand new. I hope you are finding pieces of it that feel inspiring, supportive and fulfilling.
In April 2022 I gave birth to my second baby. About 7 months later I had a strong desire to change my offerings as a photographer and completely redesign my website.
With a young baby in my arms and a toddler at my feet, you’d think I had enough on my plate. And yes, life was feeling very full. But after I had the most empowering and redemptive birth experience, I was feeling fueled with a specific type of energy;
birth and a re-birth.
I started to ask myself what I really wanted within my work and how I wanted my life to look and feel.
I asked myself how I could best support other women in feeling and fueling their own inner wisdom and magnitude.
Here is THE QUESTION I asked myself one 5 am morning and how my new collection offerings now answer these desires:
“What do I want?”
I want to see more women claim space.
Private Room Photo Shoot was initially one collection offering, now there are two collections to choose from. My hope is that in offering another version of this shoot I can give more women more options to experience their preferred version of this space.
I want to do more photo shoots that help me ground, help others ground.
In my early postpartum months, I decided to go through level 1 Reiki training. It was such a beautiful and grounding experience, one I deeply valued as a new mom.
I am overjoyed to now provide Reiki and two other complimentary services within the Motherhood Collection.
I want to spend more time with my work, more time with my people.
Most of the collections no longer have set time duration.
Sure there will be timelines and we will always be respectful of each other’s time, along with being mindful of the sun (natural light) and rented studio spaces - but I’d much rather be done when we both feel good about it all.
I want to create a series. I want to publish work. I want to grow as an artist.
I’ve got some ideas y’all! My hope is that in working with clients on a closer level we can make some of these collaborative concepts come to life.
I want to run a sustainable business.
I will be very transparent here. There is real burnout that happens in creative businesses and it can be very challenging to work in the freelance world.
I deeply care about the experience I am providing for my clients and I have invested a lot of personal energy in being the “best” I can be, so I can show up as the best version of myself for you.
In order to make that exchange sustainable, I need to be able to support my own life + ambitions. My rates now reflect this goal so that I can keep my business running and support my own life; my family and our dreams together.
I am more than happy to discuss payment plans and other ways to make our exchange of energy work for both parties. I am grateful for the support.
