Reveal and Embody Your Soul’s Evolution Through Intimate Photography and Shared Ceremony

Curated and Guided by Morgan Whitney

Virtual & In-Person
September – December 2024

The Journey

Your soul is on a loyal journey of evolution.

There are defining moments in all of our lives that initiate us into a new way of being.

For some that can be a rebirth of the self through motherhood, experiencing grief, shifts in relationships, career changes, health discoveries, new environments, another year lived, and so on.

Other times these defining moments are linked to rights of passage, different stages of womanhood, or energetic/spiritual shifts.

During these moments of transformation, we must find spaces to unfold, take shape, and be seen.

To embody and create from your lived experiences is to alchemize your life and to do this, we move the spirit of life into the body.

Why is this important?

Allowing your lived experiences to be expressed through your mind, heart, and body is the direct way to know your center. Here, at your center, you find your true essence - your creative energy, your intuition, your inner peace, your desires and your dreams. Without these spaces to unveil, embody and be witnessed - we harden, our energy is chaotic and we remain stuck.

We alchemize experiences through ceremony, creativity, and connection.

  • Ceremony

    A sacred pause

To be in ceremony means to recognize this moment in your life as sacred (because it is!) and to give it the space to be held with intention.

We will be in ceremony within the group virtual gatherings and your individual photo shoot by working with specific intentions, ritual practices, meditations/visualizations, intuitive movement and more.

  • Creativity

    Intimate portraiture

This is not exactly boudoir nor is it simply a pretty picture. Intimate portraits are defined by creating images that make you feel beautiful and alive.

We do this by celebrating the creative, mysterious and powerful energy of the feminine - embodied.

  • Connection

    3-5 women cohort

You will experience Metamorphosis with a close group of women. We will all meet virtually and share our stories, connect well beyond surface level and really get to know parts of ourselves through sisterhood.

This is where the work really comes alive. To be witnessed in your transformation, your doubts and your celebrations is where the healing takes place.

To the woman amid a metamorphosis, welcome to your sacred pause.

We begin September 26, 2024.

This is for you, the woman who knows this life was meant to be lived from her center—wild, true, radiant, and free.

Imagine discovering through creative expression that you are undoubtedly a radiant, radically self-accepting, whole being. Imagine being able to say, without even a hint of hesitation,

I am a woman who…

Knows my worth

Loves & accepts myself unconditionally

Has an abundant relationship with receiving all that is mine to receive

Feels the vitality of life at my very essence

…no matter the stage of metamorphosis you are currently evolving within.

Now imagine exploring all of this within an intimate group setting, where sisterhood ignites your inner flame as you truly see and are seen by the woman beside you.

The Experience You Hold

When we are experiencing a rebirth beyond our wildest dreams, messages and codes are pointing us to the evolution of our soul. In a fast-paced, disconnected world we can miss the opportunity to alchemize all the wisdom within the joy, sorrow, celebration, uncertainty, love, and loss of life. To alchemize our experiences we must let them run through us. We must feel how they register as inner truth within our bodies. This can be incredibly challenging in a patriarchal society where there is not much space for the feminine to be embraced and embodied. It is up to us to not let the energy of the feminine within dwindle.

Metamorphosis is here to hold you in a sacred space of…

Revealing your most vibrant essence

Embodying radical self-love and acceptance

Implementing your truest, most radiant self

"The feminine is the in-breath, the internal tide of intuition and inspiration that shapes and influences the out-breath, or masculine form. ...We are presently experiencing a profound division between masculine and feminine that is evident in our bodies and lives. The absence of the feminine and the domination of a distorted masculine is both destructive and unsustainable, manifesting many structures that are harmful to the earth and our very existence. As we restore our connection to the feminine, we will witness the rise of a vibrant masculine."

Wild Feminine, Tami Lynn Kent

Topics of Exploration

Over our three months of dedicated time together, we will delve deeply into topics that connect us to our creative portals within. The gift of working in an intimate live setting lies in the potent exchange created by these curated conversations, tailored to the specific women present.

Topics that will guide our conversations

  • Sisterhood Connection: The Wounds, the Bond, and the Judgment

  • The Energetics of Our Bodies: Body Language, Movement, and Chakras

  • Embracing Vulnerability: Healing Through Authentic Expression

  • Communication: How Our Voice and the Frequencies Within Our Bodies Shape Our Interactions

  • Mindset: How Our Beliefs Shape Our Perceptions of Our Bodies and Beauty

  • Being a Creative Portal: Defining, Accessing and Trust This Space

  • Moving with Intuition: Embracing Being Over Doing

  • Rituals of Self-Care: Nurturing the Soul and Body

  • and much more…

I will guide us through the topics above, but please note this is not a lecture. Your voice, your story, and the experiences of the other women in the group will be the heart of our shared ceremonies.

Your radiance is a gift to the world

...to yourself, your babies, your ancestors, the collective.

As women, especially when we are in the threshold of a liminal space, it can seem nearly impossible to fully transcend through our experiences—unless we make space for ourselves to be radically seen both within and by others.

Metamorphosis was created to hold you in sacred space, to deeply connect with your center by receiving, acknowledging, and understanding your true nature—not through external accolades, but from within.

Welcome to Metamorphosis

A 3-month container combining ceremony, creativity, and connection to honor this sacred time in your life.

Ceremony

Ceremony

Our live virtual gatherings are called “ceremonial sessions” due to the approach and topics of these curated conversations I will introduce during our live virtual sessions and at your photo shoot.

Together we will tap into the senses, explore elements of nature, and explore other methods of grounding ourselves into this shared space.

And because inspiration begets inspiration, once we have concluded our ceremonial sessions, you will receive a home assignment related to our topic of discovery. You'll have the opportunity to share your insights in our private WhatsApp group and contribute to a collaborative Figma Jam board (like a virtual collage) where I will be present daily.

Shared Ceremony

A common space shared with other women where we collectively invite the energy of all women and the divine feminine in order to rest in connection and healing.

“This experience nourished parts of myself that I didn't know needed attention. My initial drive to do this was because I wanted to do something to make myself feel beautiful, and it did make me feel beautiful, but it also helped a little part of my soul breathe and spread its limbs. It was even better to share this with three other women and listen to their experience and be heard by them.

I would never have guessed that these photographs would be like a prologue to the next phase of my life.”

—Stella

Creativity

Creativity

Photography is the anchor point of this experience.

With nearly 20 years in the photography world, walking dozens of incredible women through photographic experiences, I know that the transformative power of being radically seen in a photograph awakens something within.

This is the part of the experience where we get to take all we have discovered within our ceremonial sessions and move that feeling into the body. This is incredibly powerful work because once the body knows this type of truth, beauty and empowerment… it doesn’t forget.

Intimate Portraiture

These are portraits that are made with the intention to capture your most raw, true and embodied essence. In this creative space, we will explore the empowering act of expressing your layers and range that emerged during our ceremonial sessions.

Does this mean you have to get completely nude? Not at all! This entire experience is designed for you to explore your edge while always honoring your limits.

Connection

Connection

This is where the magic of the reciprocal energy of being seen while seeing others comes to life. In a small, intimate group of 3-5 women, we will walk through this experience together. What makes doing vulnerable work in a container so valuable is that by simply saying yes, getting in the room, and sitting in the circle, you have initiated your heart to open. From there, anything is possible.

Sisterhood

When we are held and witnessed during times of transformation, healing often happens naturally, with minimal effort from the individual—simply by “being” rather than “doing.” Explore your relationship with other women through being seen while seeing the woman next to you.

“Doing the photoshoot alongside other women made it even more special. It created a safe space to share whatever was in our hearts, to feel seen and heard and have other women in our corner rooting for one another. I just think there’s something really magical about sharing an experience like this with other women. I think I’ll forever have a bond with these women who I probably never would have crossed paths with otherwise.

—Emily

“Thank you Morgan for being a loving witness of my life through this chapter. The reverence and beauty in which you hold our stories reminds me to honor my lived experiences and view it all through the lens of love.”

—Ashley

“Doing the Private Room Photo Shoot with Morgan has been one of my very favorite ways to pay homage to my femininity and strength and beauty. It was incredibly empowering to be in a space, and with a person, that honors the beauty and wisdom and joy of my body by creating art with me as the subject. The photographs from the shoot are stunning; I have them all over my house now. They serve as a reminder of the importance of aesthetics and beauty and making time to see and appreciate beauty, both in myself and the world around me. The process of the shoot itself - having my hair and makeup done, taking the photos, and reviewing them afterwards - was full of joy and laughter and creativity and comfort. I'm not used to being in front of a camera, photo shoots are not a part of my everyday life, and I was so impressed and pleasantly surprised by how much comfort I found in the process.

The Location

The setting of our photo shoot is essential not just for the visual aesthetic but also for the overall feel of the experience. That's why your photo shoot will take place at a high-end cabin on a private 18-acre wooded property in the breathtaking Hocking Hills area of Southeast Ohio.

When we choose spaces where initiation, self-exploration,

vulnerability and courage are required…we find our center.

This is for you if you are…

Experiencing a significant life transition and want to honor your journey.

Inspired by the creative process and transformative portraiture.

Craving intimacy and self-discovery in a supportive community of sisters.

Ready to explore and embrace your feminine energy.

Looking to enhance your bodily awareness and self-expression.

Curious about exploring the relationship between your mind, body and spirit.

This experience is not suited for those hoping to sit back and observe. Due to the intimate nature of this container, there is no room to hide (yeah!). This doesn’t mean you have to be an extrovert or always have something to say/share/express. Not by any means! It just means that for the magic to come alive, we all get to own our seat at the table with an open heart held through respectful, curious conversations.

Get ready to tap into the magic of…

Radical self-love and self-acceptance which will strengthen your relationship with your feelings of worth, freedom and sense of self.

A safe and sacred container to share your story which promises to activate “the innate instinctual Self”.

Moving through a vulnerable, creative experience to unveil the layers of who you truly are which will allow your voice of desire to get more recognizable and undeniable.

Nourishing connections in sisterhood which will heal harmful programming and patterns allowing us to feel freedom and safety with other women.

“Fairy tales, myths, and stories provide understandings which sharpen our sight so that we can pick out and pick up the path left by the wildish nature. The instruction found in story reassures us that the path has not run out, but still leads women deeper, and more deeply still, into their own knowing. The tracks which we all are following are those of the Wild Women archetype, the innate instinctual Self.”

—Women Who Run With the Wolves by Dr. Clarissa Pinkola Estés

Emily’s Transformation Story

“That one photoshoot, that one experience, sent me on the path to rediscover myself. It pushed me to peel back the layers (literally and figuratively) and to see what else I was capable of that I had been too scared to discover before.”

“These photoshoots helped me realize a pattern that I have fallen into for so much of my life—to hide when things aren't perfect.”

“It truly is one of the most transformative and liberating experiences I have ever had.”

Stories of Transformation

About half of the women who have participated in a Private Room Photo Shoot have done it more than once. It is in this experience that we have the space to reveal pieces of ourselves while honoring the many seasons of womanhood. And there is always another layer to be revealed.

Karrie’s Story

“I felt alive, I felt ready, like immediately ready…I am awake now and wow, what a gift.”

“It was a huge gift to have space to recognize where I was in my life at that exact moment and the most amazing part is that now I have photos of myself feeling alive … in nature and naked!”

“It was so amazing to see and hear about the other women’s experiences. I felt like I had an out-of-body experience that I so badly wanted to share with other people and (not everyone) gets it, but these women GOT IT! They were there, they understood and to be surrounded by people who truly understood what I did and what I went through was priceless and I will 100% do it again.”

— Karrie

Ashley’s Story

“It (the photo shoot experience) was so profound because this was the one area of my self-love where I thought, ‘I can't break through this area - it's fine, forfeit.’

When I realized, no, I do love myself enough to see myself through photography too.

That is for me too.

The world is mine, I am mine, just purely owning everything about me and loving everything about me.

That didn't come easy. I earned it.

And that piece of seeing myself in photography and loving myself was almost that final chapter of acknowledging;

I don't know if I can love myself this way.

I've gone through all the chapters now.

I can love myself in every single way.”

Meet Your Guide

Morgan Whitney

Through my career as a photographer for nearly 20 years, through my experience as a mother for the past 5+ years to two wildly energetic little boys and through my time holding roles such as a wife, daughter, sister, and friend, I know what it feels like to…

  • Feel authentically seen, and I know what it feels like to feel invisible and misunderstood (both to myself and to others).

  • Feel stripped of my own innate power and what it feels like to embody empowerment at my center.

  • Play it safe, to be a “good girl”, to be the “I can do it myself girl” - searching for something outside myself to know myself.

…and I know what it feels like to be at home within myself - regardless of my achievements, my roles and the daily responsibilities of life.

I have come to know my home as my center and my inner-wisdom through experiences that gave me space to stand in my truth.

  • After giving my primal instincts the backseat and handing over my power to the strangers in the room with my first birthing experience, I awakened to the deep trusted of my body and caught my second son in my own two hands at-home, surrounded by those who honored the miracle of bringing life into the world.

  • I have personally felt the healing power of photography, even though I didn’t think I had the time, or “needed it”, along with other limiting beliefs. Photography is a home I come back to experience the feeling of being held during times that otherwise feel ungrounding.

  • Last year I made a large financial investment in myself and my business, even though the number attached to the experience was more than I had immediate access to in my bank account. I took a leap of faith, knowing I had myself, and the return on that investment has been profound.

  • I have come to know that self care is defined by how I am caring for my energetic body. Initiation into Reiki, a consistent meditation practice, sitting in circle with other women for yoni steams, somatic practices, sound baths, mother’s blessings, plant medicine ceremony, etc. have shown me all the light and shadow within.

The common theme in all of these moments of growth and transformation: they were all experienced within sacred spaces; containers holding space for my heart to wildly expand open.

Feeling and experiencing these moments in my body called me back to love and the inner-knowing within.

And it is here, at home, where I am able to honor my creative role as a mother and an artist in a way that feels energizing and aligned with my values. It is here, in my heart and in my body, where it feels safe to dream and honor my big, bold desires. It is here, in my nervous system, where I feel the connection to the natural world and to the universal life force holding me.

These sacred spaces hold us. It is both a massive privilege and our birthright and our responsibility to get quiet enough to listen for the invitation.

“Morgan has a special way of making the people she works with feel supported, heard and of her highest priority. Her authenticity and kind heart shines through in her work and allowed for a space of confidence and cohesion. I'm so grateful for this experience as I feel like it helped foster confidence and love for myself.”

—Hayley

 FAQs

  • Our cohort will consist of 3-5 women.

  • To feel steady in our inner-wisdom, we must move from the thinking mind into the energy of our bodies. Photography is the most potent creative outlet I have found to explore "being in the body" as there isn’t anything illusive about it - we cannot hide here. And that is the call we are answering in this experience.

  • All 9 of the ceremonial sessions and weekly communication via Telegram will be virtual. Your individual photo shoot (with you, me and our hair and make-up artist) will be in-person.

  • All of the online sessions will be recorded. Also, just because you can’t make a live session doesn’t mean there won’t be opportunity for participation. More on the details of what that looks like will be shared during our first session. I do encourage you to be at every session if possible.

  • Makes sense! There is a sisterhood wound that runs deep for many of us. Remember that everyone joining this experience with the intention to connect and uplift the other people in the room.

“The main reason I did the second photoshoot when I did was because of the group element. Something I’ve desperately wanted over the last couple of years, especially after having a baby, was just more of a community. More women being honest and vulnerable with each other instead of constantly trying to outdo each other and only showing the happy, positive parts of our lives.” - Emily

  • I get it! And I can promise you that you are not alone in that feeling. The photo shoot, like any experience or environment that is unfamiliar will require you to step into the unknown - but that is the beauty of it. We are flexing that muscle of trust in ourselves and trust in the unfolding. And I will be there to support, encourage and celebrate you every step of the way!

  • This is a very high touch experience. This means there will be room for communication all along the way - not just once a week in our Ceremonial Sessions. Also, what is important to know is that even though we can learn from podcasts, books and online courses - to really embody a way of being, we must implement it. All “the work” we will move through in our ceremonial sessions will all lead up to the photo shoot. The experience of sacred photography will be your opportunity to alchemize and embody all we have discovered during the initial 6-weeks together.

Now I have a question for you…

Is there a voice—perhaps a sweet whisper or a courageous roar—saying to you, “Something is waiting for me within this experience?”

If so, I want to invite you to apply for Metamorphosis. By simply applying, you engage in a dialogue with the Universe—acknowledging what is meant for you and what is yours to claim—driven by the presence of a living desire.

I sincerely hope to see you soon.
Morgan

We begin September 26th.
